In Week 10, the NFL penalized star wide receiver D.K. Metcalf $29,785 for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Metcalf vigorously contested what he believed to be a pass interference flag against cornerback Jamel Dean during a loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Nov. 13.
The Seahawks pass catcher received the unsportsmanlike penalty after exchanging insults with sideline referee Allen Baynes.On Tuesday, Metcalf addressed his fine.
According to The Seattle Times' Bob Condotta, a team source, he responded, "I mean, it's the NFL, so I'm not tripping."
For the 2022 season, this was Metcalf's first personal foul infraction.
The 24-year-old receiver refused to say what it was that he said to the official to warrant the penalty.
He said, "You've got to question the $30k ref who got it told to him. "In my opinion, I don't believe it was that big of a deal."
Sunday's Week 12 game against the Las Vegas Raiders will mark Metcalf and the Seahawks' return to the field following their Week 11 bye.
