Red Sox supporters will groan at the Yankees' backup Aaron Judge free agent plan.

Numerous organisations have been linked to Xander Bogaerts during the free agent period. The former Boston Red Sox shortstop has been linked to the Los Angeles Dodgers,

Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres, Chicago Cubs, and even the Arizona Diamondbacks. However, according to Audacy, MLB insider Buster Olney recently acknowledged that

he would not be shocked if the New York Yankees made a move for Bogaerts.Olney said, "I think (Xander) Bogaerts and (Trea) Turner are more intriguing to the Yankees because of

their versatility, and I think Bogaerts because he will be less expensive than Turner. "I don't think Judge becomes their top objective, so it wouldn't surprise me if they don't

sign him."Xander Bogaerts may become the Yankees' "number one target" if they don't sign Aaron Judge, according to Olney, who didn't simply mention it in passing.

Fans of the Red Sox would detest it if Bogaerts joined their main opponent. The Yankees have Isiah Kiner-Falefa under contract again, but they are still looking for a shortstop.

The first objective for the Yankees is still to re-sign Aaron Judge in free agency. Trea Turner will probably pique New York's interest because he is arguably the best all-around

shortstop in baseball. However, at least according to Olney, Xander Bogaerts fits the Yankees the best. However, if they re-sign Aaron Judge, they are most likely not going to

pursue him. Therefore, Bogaerts' future may be directly impacted by Judge's ruling.

As the Yankees and Red Sox move forward with free agency, this issue will undoubtedly be one worth keeping an eye on.
