In the Chargers game, Patrick Mahomes won't have two important weapons.

On Sunday, Patrick Mahomes, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, will be without two crucial offensive resources.

Mecole Hardman (abdomen) and JuJu Smith-Schuster (concussion) will both be sidelined for this weekend's game against the Los Angeles Chargers.During the victory over the

Jacksonville Jaguars last week, Smith-Schuster was concussed as a result of a strong hit. After getting hurt in Week 9, Hardman was put on the injured reserve.

With 46 receptions for 615 yards and two touchdowns through the first nine games of the season, Smith-Schuster is Mahomes' top wide receiver weapon, trailing only star

tight end Travis Kelce. Both on the ground and in the air, Hardman has been a vital part of the Chiefs' offensive strategy.

The explosive athlete scored four touchdowns in his last two games (two rushing, two receiving). The recently recruited wide receiver Kadarius Toney will be expected to step up

and provide Mahomes another pass-catching option now that these two starters are sidelined. A bigger receiving duty will also be expected of Marquez Valdes-Scantling.

On Sunday night, a primetime battle between the Chiefs and the Chargers will take place.
