Eight games are suspended for Chris Herndon.

According to Field Yates of ESPN, the NFL has suspended undrafted tight end Chris Herndon for the final eight weeks of the 2022 regular season.

Herndon was suspended without explanation.

His previous infraction of the league's substance abuse policy resulted in a suspension for the first four games of the 2019 regular season.

Herndon admitted guilt to DWI earlier that year following a collision in June 2018. Herndon joined the Saints during training camp this summer, but he was only with the team

for three weeks. On August 23, the Saints released him, and he has remained a free agent ever then.

Herndon played his first three seasons of his career with the Jets before spending 2021 with the Vikings.

He played with the Vikings in 16 games, making five starts, although he only managed four receptions for 40 yards and one score.

Herndon's first year with the Jets was his most productive one. He had four touchdowns and 502 yards from 39 receptions.
