Cowboys formally decide on Dak Prescott as their starting quarterback.

Dak Prescott, a Pro Bowl quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, hasn't played on the field in almost a month. Will he return at last on Sunday?

Dak was completely taken off the Cowboys' injury list on Friday. After surgery, he was hospitalised for more than a month with a hand injury.

Dak has been cleared to play against the Detroit Lions in Week 7 after being taken off the injury list.

Furthermore, no one can contest that backup Cooper Rush deserves to return to the starting lineup after he suffered his first career defeat last week against the

Philadelphia Eagles. This is not to suggest that Dak had a strong start to the 2022 season. He was 14 of 29 for 134 yards and an interception in the first game against the

Tampa Bay Buccaneers before getting hurt. However, the Cowboys were able to win four straight games until suffering a depressing defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6.

This was mostly due to the Cowboys' shockingly good defence. The Cowboys don't even need Dak to carry the load alone week in and week out to win games with the way the

defence is playing. However, if he succeeds, they might start winning many games with considerably greater margins.
