Blue Ridge Parkway Reopens in Virginia 

Nearly 200 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia reopened after damage from Hurricane Helene. 

Affected stretch: Milepost 0-198.

North Carolina remains closed.

Visitor sites open: Humpback Rocks, James River, Peaks of Otter, Mabry Mill.

Campgrounds: First-come, first-served until Monday.

Lodge remained open: Peaks of Otter Lodge.

Trail caution: Assessments ongoing.

Long-term repairs: More work needed in North Carolina.
